Letter from the Founder of Easy Wood Tools, Craig Jackson
I fell in love with woodturning years ago - but not with the tools that made it clunky and overly complicated. I just wanted to make a bowl and not have to mess with all the convoluted tools and sharpening. Everyone I talked to agreed that there had to be a better way. Many had found some tools that improved a thing or two but no one had ever seen a real solution.
I knew there had to be a better way to enjoy my passion for woodturning. Rather than tweak or tinker with existing tools, I decided to design a whole new system from scratch - a solution. My 62,000 hours as a machinist, engineer, industrial designer, and my degree in Machine Tool Technology gave the skills to get off to a great start.
First, I took the guesswork out. All my tools are designed to give super high performance for all users when simply used flat on the tool rest and level to the floor for all cuts - who couldn't do that?
Then I decided I was never going to sharpen again, so all my Easy Wood Tools designs use our own line of replaceable carbide cutters perfectly engineered by us for the unique needs of woodturning. When one dulls, just rotate it around and when you dull the whole thing - get you a new one.
Pretty cool, huh? We call this system, Easy Woodturning?
My wife, Donna, and I officially started Easy Wood Tools way back in 2008. My crew and I take care of making the tools and Donna's office skills help her manage the front of the business. Easy Wood Tools is the culmination of a lifetime of experience for both of us rolled up into one cool company.
All Easy Wood Tools are made right here in America, and we're very proud of that. We also strongly believe in the quality and craftsmanship put into each and every tool we sell. To prove that, we offer an industry exclusive, 100% money back guarantee. If a customer doesn't like our tools for any reason, we'll buy them back.
